§ 5.10. Power to borrow.

  • Said board in exercising the right, power, and authority delegated to it under the provisions of this article relative to extending its lines, etc., the erection and building of plants and facilities, the acquiring of lands and properties therefor, and the purchase of such machinery and equipment incident to and necessary, shall have the right, power, and authority, if it should be necessary to carry out the powers delegated to said board, to borrow temporarily (and as a temporary loan) such sums of money and execute notes therefor as may be necessary to carry out the rights and powers delegated to it, provided such sums so borrowed shall not exceed the limit fixed by the constitution and laws of this state.
